Electrical Modalities

These modalities are employed to alleviate pain, spasms, inflammation, and stiffness. Some devices are also utilized for the purpose of fortifying significantly debilitated muscles. The duration of these therapeutic interventions typically ranges from 10 to 30 minutes per session, reiterated over a course of 7 to 21 days

  • Wireless Professional Therapy is a cutting-edge form of electrical physiotherapy that allows patients unrestricted movement. Widely utilized in sports rehabilitation, this technique assists in muscle overload and correct movement pattern training for athletes. By providing real-time feedback during movement, the therapy emphasizes the use of correct muscles.

  • Interferential Therapy (IFT) is employed to alleviate muscle spasms and reduce associated pain, including tingling sensations in the limbs.

  • Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) delivers impulses directly to compressed or irritated nerves, effectively reducing pain.

  • Ultrasound Therapy (US) administers high-frequency sonic waves to target injured areas, reducing inflammation in deeper tissues and expediting the healing process, a common practice in sports injury management.

  • Intermittent Cervical/Lumbar Traction (ICT/ILT) employs advanced machinery to provide necessary traction to the spine, thereby alleviating spinal pain through spasm and tightness reduction.

  • Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) is instrumental in restoring strength and volume to wasted or atrophied muscles due to injuries, immobility, or nerve damage. This therapy involves a substantial workload to aid in muscle recovery and may be combined with targeted strengthening exercises. EMS encompasses two main types—faradic and galvanic—each serving distinct therapeutic purposes.
